DCM Report
Hello everyone! Hope the holidays were nice for all. We have a few things coming up that I wanted to mention that are listed below. Excited to be able to serve as your DCM. Below is information that is pertinent currently. Look forward to seeing everyone via zoom Saturday at 930.
MEETING ID is: 839 998 9177 PASSCODE: 71
1. Safety Service Card, Flyer and Service Material Sheets updates- Rainer (delegate) mentioned them during his report at the assembly and Dale had copies at our last in person meeting last month at St. John’s. He has asked for feedback from the bottom of triangle. Please send to - delegate@aanorthcarolina.org Attached are the items he wants feedback on: The word document is the request from Rainer. I have asked him to please clarify which changes are new for those of us not familiar with prior items. He said he didn’t know specifics. He also said these were updated at the direction of AAWS Board, based upon sharing and correspondence with the fellowship, questions asked at Regional Forum, etc. His hope is that people will simply read them, and share about passages they found problematic, or passages which they found to be effective and helpful. If no one objects to the current language, then his understanding is that it will be taken as sufficient approval for change. He said these are not conference approved materials - they are service materials. This is information to share with our Regional Trustee and several of the Board members who have asked for some Fellowship feedback.

2. District 71 is co-hosting this year’s Pre-Conference with District 70 in Asheville. This will take place on April 2nd, 2022. I spoke with Steve R. (DCM – 70) and he believes we need to find a location near interstate 26. He doesn’t think Calvary will work given size of main room. We decided that we would get both our districts to make some calls to different churches that have the space for main room and 6 breakout rooms in proximity (within 3-5 miles of 26 – or just simple directions from the interstate!) I’m hoping we can get a team with Teri G. heading Events to begin working on this. Our Delegate needs our input. What is a Pre-Conference link:

3. Area Inventory can be found on home page of our Area Website: This is what Dale worked so hard on as chair of the Growth and Maintenance Subcommittee over the past 2 years.
Area 51 Inventory
2022 Spring Assembly
June 18-19, 2022
Hilton Charlotte University Place
At Area 51’s Fall Assembly in 2020, held via zoom, a motion was approved to conduct an Area Inventory.
Fall 2020 Area Inventory Advisory Action
That Area 51 will conduct an Inventory no later than the Fall 2023 Assembly. The Inventory will take 4 hours and will be open to Area 51 A.A. members. The inventory will consist of a series of questions to be considered by all participants in breakout sessions followed by a general sharing session. These questions will be provided at the Assembly prior to the Inventory, as well as on the Area 51 Website. To ensure wider participation, AA members who cannot attend the Assembly will have the ability to review the questions and submit their responses to the Chair 30 days prior to the Assembly.
The current plan is to conduct the inventory IN PERSON at the 2022 Spring Assembly, so long as NC COVID-19 guidelines permit. Our Area Chair will make the final decision.
While we encourage full participation for the Inventory at the Spring Assembly, we do recognize it is not possible for all to attend. Thus, for those AA group members who cannot attend and to encourage the widest possible participation from all group members in Area 51 (North Carolina), this inventory can be completed and submitted prior to the event. Ways to ensure your voice is heard:
· Attend the 2022 Spring Assembly and participate in the Inventory process
· Go to the Area Website and fill out the Area Inventory form
· Send an email with answers to the questions to inventory@aanorthcarolina.org
· Mail answers to:
NCGSC-Registrar
Attn: 2022 Inventory Chair
PO Box 470275

The deadline for receiving the answers is May 19, 2022, one month prior to the Spring Assembly.
