DISTRICT 71 CORRECTIONS

Several plans for December were postponed due to weather and holidays.  We still need men and women volunteers for the Henderson County Detention Center.   We meet at 715pm on Thursdays at the jail.  The jail was closed for 2 weeks in December due to covid.  We have several donation containers at various groups.   Please encourage folks to contribute.

I spoke with Chaplain Wilkerson from the Rutherford County jail and there is interest in getting meetings started.. There is a new sheriff so they are waiting for his input. Transylvania  volunteers are doing a good job. Polk County Chaplain was contacted and they don't need any literature at this time.

Freedom From Bondage is coming up March 10,11, 12.

I encourage anyone who is interested in carrying the AA message to those in custody to attend.  It is the most rewarding workshop I have ever been to.
