DCM Report

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is well.  I want to thank Annette for chairing meeting and going to the assembly in my place.  I lost my father  and needed the time for all that comes along with loss....  First off, please check out Monday's December 5th Transylvania Times article that features two stories from AA members and information on AA.  Also there are ads on WLOS (13) right now through the holidays.  This is all happening due to hard work done by all on central office committee working to spend the surplus!  Our own Linda Jo has been instrumental in helping on this committee.  

Annette attended assembly in Raleigh and we will hear from her at the meeting about that.   I will also send summaries I received from the area chair to our Web administrator so they can be posted to the website. We have elections this meeting on Saturday and I encourage people to come stand for a position or come and learn.  It is always good to have an alternate for any position.  It is important moving forward to consider updating our service positions if not now when a new person takes over.  We have been doing many things online and Val has done an amazing job updating website, but many things are not getting updated.  We have a spreadsheet and email list and I have tried to keep up with it.  I hope we can discuss this soon on how we will keep this up to date.  I also have many things that I want to send out to people that comes from our members  but I may not have the time to do it immediately.  Currently, I am the only one sending out emails with Mailchimp.  Last month I asked Scott A. to discuss this platform and how everything is set up.  I believe that other members will need to learn how to use it or we could re visit Google workspace proposed by Valerie.  My thought was everyone could send out information and edit our email list and add people.  This is in old business and we may not have time to really make decisions Saturday since we are holding elections, but it is important.  I also was contacted by Don H, ( treatment coordinator) - he will not continue in this position.  We will miss having him.  It was time to rotate this position, he had just come on board and had planned to continue but has changed his mind.  So everyone please get the word out and come see us Saturday at St John's ( Flat Rock) at 930-
