 D 71 Treatment Committee Report 

April 10, 2021 

Janet M. and I are planning pamphlet packets for the patients who are being discharge from the Detox Unit of Pardee Hospital and who are interested in attending AA meetings. We are also compiling a packet for the Bridging the Gap AA volunteers. As meetings are opening up, the opportunity to enlist more volunteers will increase. Janet M. our BTG Coordinator is preparing information to give to the Pardee Hospital discharge planners. Janet has been instrumental in planning BTG for D 71. 

A meeting was held at Pardee Hospital with Miranda the recreation coordinator and Lois MSW lead discharge planner. The purpose was to introduce ourselves and to present our plans for Bridging The Gap and also the plans to bring AA meetings to the unit once the hospital opens to volunteers. We asked about the possibility of bringing in AA meetings to the unit via ZOOM. We were told that the hospital was not allowing that to occur. Miranda also mentioned that the idea of having a staff to introduce AA to Pathways Unit employees. 

I was not available to attend the Area 51 Treatment workshop. However, a recording of the program will be made available to those who were unable to attend. 

Our plan for the next business meeting is to present our budget for the rest of 2021. I will approach Miranda to hopefully set a date for a staff meeting. Once that occurs we will ask Linda Jo for her help.
