Events Chair Report

The Unity Breakfast was a huge success. We joined with D70 to put on this event. It was a wonderful example of our 2 districts getting together to plan and implement the breakfast. It looked like there were 60 plus attendees. We had speakers representing both districts who spoke eloquently sharing their experience, strength and hope. The sobriety countdown ranged from 49 years to 30 days. The newcomer was presented with a Big Book signed by all. It was amazing. Everyone also signed get well cards for Keith M. who was unable to be the presenter due to illness and for Chris K. our chef who had undergone surgery. Everyone pitched in to make this a very memorable event. Our thanks to Joyce W. who was so instrumental in bringing the idea of a joint event and extra help from D 70. Thanks to all the volunteers who showed up early and stayed late. The food was yummy. We have a lot of good cooks. We closed with the Lord's Prayer.
